By Skyler Foster Hugo High School Student Reporter This week, we are recognizing the tennis team here at Hugo High. Tennis is a sport that doesn’t get much spotlight, so I am going to tell you a few highlights about the tennis team. • Alex Foster has an amazing groundstroke, perfect curve serve, speed and is dedicated to the team. • Lee Wolf has speed and a good serve. • Obed Perez is speedy and makes everyone on the team laugh. • Paul Wilson has a smashing forehand and backhand. • Reya Burnett has an incredible drive to play, her groundstrokes are great when she’s mad. • Kristie Lopez plays with laughter and fierceness. • Valerie Wilson shows no mercy on opposing players. • Skyler Foster is smart on the court. • Breanna Smith is always fighting for the point. • Brianna McClour has unpredictable skill while playing. • Heather Paliani always runs for the ball and has extreme perseverance. • Bailey Smith always has a good time on the court. • Matthew Bell is hard hitting and never misses. |
