| Busted boiler floods classrooms, roof leaks continue |

By Skyler Foster Hugo High School Student Reporter Over Easter weekend in the high school, there was an upsetting accident. A boiler pipe burst and flooded the boiler room, office, closets and two classrooms. Luckily, we didn’t suffer anything but carpet damage. We also have an increasing amount of roof leaks. All around our school we are suffering roof damage. In multiple classrooms some parts of the ceiling are sinking down, wet or are removed because of water damage. This week, Durant School District passed two bond issues to help build or repair structures and another one to update technology and security on their campuses. I know we are not as big as Durant, but we have some serious concerns to address. Hugo students deserve safe, dry classrooms. Remember this picture and information when a bond issue comes to a vote. |
