By Ryan Debo and Brian Holbrook Hugo High School Sports Reporters Super Bowl Sunday is approaching, preparations are being made for food and fun during this exciting event. Some families have a traditional celebration for the Super Bowl. Family and friends travel long distances to be together for the event. The menu usually takes planning and thought. Some of the favorites are nachos, buffalo wings, hero sandwiches, chips and salsa and many other dishes. We personally look forward to the camaraderie between family and friends. In a group like this, there is always someone who roots for the opposing team, making the banter sometimes lively and heated. Our prediction for this year’s Super Bowl may surprise you. We believe that the Dallas Cowboys will face the San Diego Chargers and the Cowboys will come out on top 28 to 21. Wouldn’t that be great, Cowboys fans? The Highway Patrol and local police will be writing many tickets on this day, so remember don’t drink and drive. This day is most fun when mixed with family and friends instead of alcohol. We had the opportunity to ask a few teachers and coaches about their Super Bowl predictions.
