Hugo High School’s Art Program has been handed to Mrs. Kelsi Kiper. She was the substitute art teacher for most of the first sememster.
Kiper has been doing a great job so far as a substitute art teacher. She has taught students many things ranging from paper mache masks to flip books (multiple pictures put together to create movement). Kiper is a very qualified art teacher.
She has great ideas about what to teach and how to go about doing it. She looks to find each student’s specialty in art, whether it be drawing, painting, etc. Not everyone is great at drawing and not everyone is great at painting. Students might be great sculptors and not even know it. Kiper is showing students many different art forms so they can find something that they will love.
Kiper is fantastic at what she does because of the way she reaches out to students. She is able to teach things that students will love and remember for the rest of their lives.
I am looking forward to learning different art forms from Kiper this semester.
