By Reya Burnett Hugo High School Student Reporter I believe in probability but, in all reality, it is our preparation that brings us our good fortune; but with the good comes the bad. Our preparation could also bring us “bad luck.” Say for instance a person won the lottery. It is the determination of the player that drives them to keep playing until they’ve won. Some people may believe that good things happen by chance on occasion. A $10 bill floats out of the sky from nowhere. You just happened to be in the right place at the right time. How many times does that really happen? On the other hand, you might have felt the reason to get out and take a walk. The point is that no one person is “luckier” than anyone else. Don’t be a sore loser. Prepare for what life throws at you. |
