• Oklahoma Outdoors: Treate yourself to cool summer camouflage

In the early spring and summer, melting in a regular weight camouflage outfit is common with Oklahoma heat waves. This can happen during spring turkey hunts, Memorial Day camp outs, dove season and early bow season. What do you wear has now been figured out by Bass Pro Shop’s RedHead clothing design team.
This new product is called Air MESH ULTRA and it’s like instant air conditioning in the woods. The ULTRA poly material provides unsurpassed breathe-ability and moisture-wicking performance to help keep you cool in the field. It also produces vivid camo patterns, remains colorfast through repeated washings, and is tear and wrinkle-resistant. So if you’re looking for the best in comfort, durability and versatility, then you’re ready to experience Air Mesh ULTRA machine wash. Bob Foulkrod of the RedHead Pro hunting team swears by it and so do I. The Easter bunny brought me a complete set of it and it worked great during turkey season.
My color choice was REALTREE (APHDG) all purpose high definition green(APG). This pattern adds a little more green to the brown break up background. You can disappear quicker in this outfit than an apple pie on Christmas Day.
I liked it so well that I got the complete outfit. Long sleeve shirt, short sleeve T-shirt with pocket, cargo pants, ball cap and boonie hat with built in face mask. The turkeys gobbling and squirrels barking kept me in a hide and seek mode until I squeezed the trigger. Get a pair for yourself and you will see how great they are.
