•Little Buffs win Super Bowl!

The Hugo third and fourth grade Buffaloes dominated the Broken Bow Savages in the North Sulphur Pee-Wee Football Super Bowl held in Paris, Tx, on Nov. 8, 2008 by a score of 21 - 6.

The savages kicked off to the buffaloes and the buffs drove down the field with good running from Hunter Church, derek Rife and Tyrone Howell. The Buffs were at the eight yard line and the Savages decided to stack the middle of the line. Quarterback, Hunter Church gave a great pitch to Tyrone Howell and he out-raced the Savages for the first score. The extra point was ran in by Hunter church. Buffs 7 Savages 0.

The Buffaloes kicked off and the Savage offense went to work. But, the Buffalo defense stood strong and denied them a first down. The Savages punted and the Buff offense was ready to overrun the Savage defense. The Buffs were unstoppable and Tyrone Howell took a sweep around right end for a 46 yard touchdown. Buffs 13 Savages 0.

The Buff defense held the Savages scoreless to the half. Defensive standouts: Shamar Brown, Raymel Jones, Gary Newberry, Derek Rife, Renzo Rosales, Kiyshaun Flowers, Dylan Yandell, Brayen McClure, Brandon McClure, Tristen Beart, Hunter Church and Tyrone Howell.

The Buffs pulled a fast one on the Savages with an onside kick to start the second half. Tyrone Howell recovered and the Buff offense was back in business. On the first play from scrimmage the Savage defense was expecting the Buff offense to run their bread and butter play (34 lead) but the Buffs ran the opposite and the result was a 37 yard run for a touchdown by Tyrone Howell. The extra point was a pass from Hunter Church to Tyler Maxwell. Buffs 21 Savages 0.
The Savages were able to get one score on the Buffs with their fast quarterback. The Buff defense was able to keep him contained the rest of the game.

Also, contributing on the Buffalo offense were: Jackson Rabon, Trevor Pallan, Iggy Hernandez, Roger Jones, Damon Testerman, Colton Hider, Cody Hider, Zackary Shanks and D'Montae Bruner.
The Buffaloes defensive and offensive tackle Shamar Brown had an outstanding game getting into the Savage backfield.
The Super Bowl MVP was Tyrone Howell, who had his best game of the year with three touchdowns.
