Governor Mary Fallin has appointed local attorney Bill Baze as the next Associate District Judge for Choctaw County.
Baze was appointed to replace James R. Wolfe who passed away in 2013. Baze, who graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2001, has served as the Assistant District Attorney in Choctaw County for the previous two years. He grew up in Choctaw County and graduated from Fort Towson High School in 1990. He and his wife, Ginger, live in Hugo. His wife is a 1998 graduate of Hugo High School.
“I am honored by the opportunity to serve the people of Choctaw County as their Associate District Judge,” Baze said. “I would like to thank Governor Fallin along with all the local leaders who supported me during the nominating process. I promise to serve Choctaw County with honor and to maintain the highest level of professionalism and ethical conduct.”
