Boswell School hires new superintendent

The end of year planning for school year 2014-2015 comprised multiple decisions made during Thursday night’s Boswell School Board regular meeting.
The Superintendent position was voted upon.  Approval was granted to accept Dr. John Sheridan in the position. The Pre- K through 12th grade  principal position will be filled by Keith Edge.
Approvals were granted for resignations in the positions held by Scot McCorstin and Mary Hamon.
The Student of the Month in junior high was announced as Emily Stevens, the High School Student of the Month as Jonna Belvin.
A $500 scholarship for SOSU, from contributions from the Don Combrink family, was announced for a Boswell High student.
Bids will be taken for a truck for the agriculture department.
The architect’s report, regarding the cafeteria project, was provided for the board.
On the agenda was the report from Kim Cooper concerning the progress in the cafeteria, with an update on the changes and upcoming changes.
The 18 support personnel named on the April 10 agenda were approved for re-employment.
Tabled was the consideration of the action to use the services of  Shelia Glover for Special Education physical therapy services and occupational therapy services for the 2014-2015 school year.
