KINGSTON – For the second time this season, the Hugo Buffaloes fell to Atoka Saturday night.
The first game was a 54-49 regular season loss for Hugo. This time, it was a 70-55 setback in the Regional Final that sends the Buffaloes to the consolation bracket of the Area Tournament.
“They came out and executed the game plan very well,” Hugo coach Darnell Shanklin said of Atoka. “They did a good job of taking away a couple of our scorers, and we didn’t do a very good job of protecting the basketball.”
