Choctaw County Associate District Judge selection narrowed to three

HUGO — Members of the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission have completed interviews and background checks and narrowed the list of potential judge candidates to three Choctaw County attorneys.
The three men, vying for the bench seat previously held by Associate Dist. Judge James R. Wolfe, who were selected by the JNC include: Bill Baze, Tom Hadley and Gary Brownsworth.
The three candidates will undergo interviews by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin later this week, and one will be appointed to complete Judge Wolfe’s unexpired term. (The remainder of 2014.)
The seat will also open up for candidate filings on April 8-9-10 with the winning candidate earning a full four-year term beginning January, 2015.
