Meadow Payne and Shy’Anne Wolfe learned an important lesson and entrepreneurial experience Thursday as they set out to make a bit of cash so they could purchase a few things they had been wanting. The girls set up a lemonade stand, not only offering the refreshing beverage, but also cookies and beef jerky –– which were sold out quickly. Lemonade stands are in very short supply in today’s world due to stricter zoning laws and government enforcement of permits and licenses, which rob children of the entrepreneurial experience of running their first business, serving customers and making money.
