On Monday, library board members Brenda Webb, Von Callaway, Don Covington, Leona Edwards and Joey Brindley welcomed visitors for the relocation of the time capsule from the old building to its new location on the southeast end of the building.
Ken and Gail Brown (pictured page 3) were present for the event, along with Lyndol and Carolyn Fry and Joe Webb. Ken Brown was at the original burial event and donated the bronze plaque that is embedded as a cover for the capsule. He recalls that he contributed several of his calligraphy works in 1982 to be placed inside, along with what has been reported as the 1981-1982 financial statements from the city of Hugo and other newsworthy memorabilia from the year 1982.
