HUGO ––The Hugo board of education held a special meeting Wednesday evening to discuss the hiring of certified and support employees for the 2013-2014 school year.

Resignations from Melody Nabors (middle school teacher), Johnnie Robinson (child nutrition), Marsha Worthy (library aide), Lyndol Fry (part time), Sammy Drinkard and Melissa Drinkard were accepted and approved. Also approved was the retirement of Gayle Holleman, Lenore Branton and Jim Cross.
School board members approved a 10 cent increase in lunch prices for the 2013-2014 school year. Next year’s lunch prices will be $1.35 for elementary; $1.60 for intermediate; $1.60 for middle school and $1.85 for high school.
