HUGO - A Choctaw County ambulance was involved in a minor accident Tuesday afternoon while transporting a stable  patient to Durant.

According to Choctaw County Ambulance Authority Director Joyce Armes, the accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday in Boswell, Okla.

"The driver of the ambulance was unable to see the brake lights of the vehicle in front of the ambulance due to sunlight,  Armes said. "The driver swerved to miss the vehicle and clipped it on the side."

Armes said there was no damage done to the ambulance and no one was injured.

"The Boswell Police Department handled the situation in a very professional and expedient manner,  Armes said. "The police worked the accident very rapidly and there was no need to transfer the patient to another ambulance."
