ANTLERS — First degree murder charges were filed Friday against Fred Lloyd Holder, 65, of Choctaw County, in connection with the shooting death of Jackie Dellinger. The charges were signed by District Attorney Laura Ross Wallis.
Dellinger was found murdered on Friday, March 6, 2009 on property he owned near Rattan, in Pushmataha County.
Holder was taken into custody Friday and is being held in the PushmatahaCounty jail without bond
In an unusual turn of events, portions of Holder’s felony file have been sealed, presumably by an associate district judge. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 19.
Holder previously spent 94 months and one day in federal prison for the shooting death of David Pickins, a co-owner of BC Wetlands, in western Choctaw County.
Holder was convicted of murder in the second degree by a federal jury in November 2000. After hiring a high-profile attorney, Stephen Jones, Holder was ordered to receive a new trial, and that court ruling was supported by the 10th Circuit Court in Denver by a 2-1 vote.
