FORT TOWSON — Barbecue, cold drinks, American flags and fireworks — Sunday is Fourth of July and Raymond Gary State Park’s display begins at dark.
Admission is free to the annual fireworks show on the lake in Fort Towson. The reflection on the water makes the display especially memorable.
The Fourth of July event is one of two annual celebrations held at the lake by the Raymond Gary Lake Association. The other is the Christmas boat parade where lighted boats circle the water after dark.
The activities are sponsored by local businesses, but donations will also be accepted for next year.
