HUGO — Although there was no quorum Tuesday at the July monthly meeting of the Choctaw County Library Board of Trustees, board members present did hear a report on the 2008 audit, submitted by E.J. Guerrant, from Guerrant and Guerrant Certified Public Accountants. Guerrant told the board and citizens present, “The 2008 audit was just not comfortable. There were inadequate or missing documents and up to $10,000 missing from a certain trust.” As stated by the independent auditors’ report, “documentation supporting the donor’s intent for contributions received and expenditures from funds held by the Choctaw County treasurer for the benefit of the library was either inadequate or missing in the accounting records.” Read the full story, subscribe to the online edition: http://www.hugonews.com/transitionHDN.html
