CHOCTAW COUNTY — Democrats and Republicans have candidates on the ballot in the Tuesday, Aug. 24 runoff primary election.
Countywide, Democratic voters must choose between incumbent Arlene Minchey and Barbara Gail Vandever to face Republican Kim Young in the Nov. 2 election for county treasurer. In District 1, Democrats will also get to choose their county commissioner between incumbent Danny Antwine and Ronnie Thompson.
Republican voters get to decide between Charles Thompson and Daniel Edmonds to face Democrat Dan Boren in the Nov. 2 election for U.S. representative District 2. Republicans John P. Crawford and John Doak face off in the state insurance commissioner’s race as no Democrats ran.
