HUGO — First United Bank CEO, Greg Massey, recently announced that John Worthy has been named president of the Hugo Banking Center. Worthy, a native of Hugo, has been with First United since 2005. He transferred from Holdenville to the Hugo location earlier this year. Worthy holds a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He is also a graduate of the Oklahoma Banker’s Association Commercial Lending School and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Worthy has more than 15 years experience in the financial services industry. He specializes in real estate, commercial and agriculture lending. “John is a Hugo native and an experienced banker,” Massey said. “He has proven himself qualified to lead the Hugo Banking Center and I’m confident that he will be successful,” Massey added. “I’m excited to be home. I have a great team here and together, we look forward to serving the financial needs of the people of Choctaw County,” Worthy said. In addition to his responsibilities at First United, Worthy is an advisory board member for the Wes Watkins Technology Center in Wetumka, Okla. and has served as a member of the Seminole Baseball Association and numerous other community, church and civic activities. Worthy’s hobbies include golf, fishing and spending time with his wife, Marsha, and two sons, Kane and Kolby.
