HUGO - The yearly pickin' and singin' will kick off in two weeks with the Early Bird Bluegrass Festival set for Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28, at the Agriplex in Hugo, located at 5th and Rena Street. This year's lineup consists of 12 extraordinary bluegrass performers. Friday's performers will include Digger Davis and Tombstone, The Louisiana Grass, Marty Raybon, HIGH STRUNG, and Holly Bond and the Bluegrass Texans. Saturday's lineup includes Carrie Hassler and Hard Rain, The Welch Mountain Boys, Amy Patrick, East Mountain, The Vern Young Band, Bonham Brothers Reunion, and local legend Bill Grant. Grant will also serve as the program director and emcee. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and performances will begin at noon each day. Tickets are $15 or $25 for both days. Unlimited parking and seating space is available. Personal lawn chairs are allowed and concessions will be available.
