Explosion rocks Seaboard Railcar Monday afternoon PDF Print E-mail

HUGO — An area man was seriously injured when an explosion rocked the “Seaboard Railcar” facility at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Choctaw County Ambulance Authority personnel responded to the scene and transported an injured man to the Hugo Airport, where he was air-lifted to Parkland Burn Center, according to local authorities.
According to paramedics, the man sustained trauma to his hands, burns to his hands and arms and burns to his head and ears.
Hugo Fire Department advised that the call came in via regular phone line, rather than emergency line. As of press time Tuesday there were no police or fire reports available concerning the explosion. The worker’s identity was not released and calls to Seaboard Railcar were not answered.
