CHOCTAW COUNTY ––Choctaw County Sheriff’s deputy Larry Hendrix found something out of the ordinary Thursday morning while serving a search warrant to follow up on a recent arson case in Soper ––one of the largest whiskey stills ever uncovered in Choctaw County.

“We’ve had one or two whiskey stills in the past, but never one this large,” Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park said.

According to Park, who was sworn in Thursday, deputy Hendrix served the warrant Thursday morning to Larry Holder, 69, whose property is located just off of 2030 Road northwest of Soper, before contacting Pushmataha County and requesting a warrant for the residence of George Holder, 46, who will face possible charges in Choctaw and Pushmataha County.
