ETIRING CHOCTAW COUNTY SHERIFF LEWIS COLLINS was showered with kind words and admiration Friday afternoon during a retirement party, secretly planned by his wife, Pat (pictured). Lewis, who began his law enforcement career in 1969 in Texas, has been Sheriff of Choctaw County for the last 16 years, after spending 22 years with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. A crowd of law enforcement officials, friends and family gathered to wish Collins the best in his retirement and share their many stories and praises of what a tremendous public servant and friend they found in him.
