The Department of Public Safety is warning traffic law violators of new restrictions concerning traffic laws. House Bill 1507 which was signed by Governor Fallin on May 18, 2011 and took effect Nov. 1, 2011, calls for a mandatory one-year drivers license revocation for any licensee convicted of the following traffic offenses:

• Reckless driving without regard to the safety of others.

• Failure to stop for a school bus loading or unloading children.

• Failure to obey a traffic control device (or stop for stop sign) when such failure results in great bodily injury to any other person.

DPS sends a 30-day notice of license revocation to the last known address of the licensee.
