| Three injured in Fort Towson collision |

FORT TOWSON — A 1997 Chevrolet driven by Todd Franklin, 25, of Sobol collided with a 2008 Ford F250 driven by Gervace Collins, 59, of Hugo at 11:47 a.m., June 21 on U.S. 70 and Raymond Gary in Fort Towson according to Oklahoma State Trooper Blades. Franklin was headed eastbound on U.S. 70 while Collins, with passenger Debbie Collins, 51, of Hugo, was traveling westbound when Franklin’s vehicle went left of center striking the Ford on the driver’s side front fender. Collins’ vehicle rolled approximately two times and came to rest on its tires. Franklin was pinned for approximately 15 minutes and was freed by Fort Towson Fire Department with the Jaws of Life. He was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas and was admitted with head and arm injuries in serious condition. Gervace Collins was transported to St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. with head and arm injuries in fair condition. Debbie Collins was transported to Choctaw County Hospital, treated and released. Franklin was reported by the trooper to have been drinking and his ability impaired.
