On behalf of the Hugo city council, police officers, fire fighters and hard working staff, it’s always our goal to make each Homecoming the best ever!
Hugoans and their families will make their way back to enjoy all the festivities of this weekend’s events, including a “world-class” PRCA Rodeo; one of the only ones left in our region of the country!
To make the Homecoming great for area citizens and visitors alike, it takes a tremendous effort from the following folks; Hugo city arena crew, the PRCA committee, Hugo Chamber of Commerce, Hugo street dept. crew (re-painting stripes, sprucing-up downtown), Hugo city parks & rec dept., and countless volunteers who make sure the parade, luncheon and all festivities go off without a hitch. So, please tell them “thanks” for their efforts when you see them.
I hope that readers of this article are as proud of our community, citizens, veterans, colorful and historic history and heritage as we are. To that end, let’s consider ourselves “Ambassadors” for our town for these events, visitors and festivities.
Wherever I go, people say, “folks are so friendly and kind in Hugo.” Well, let’s continue to prove them right by doing everything we can to make our guests feel welcome as they come back home!
So, happy Homecoming Hugo, and may God continue to bless our city!
