BOSWELL — Boswell’s 72nd Annual Homecoming kicks of Friday evening with their 2009 theme, “Country Folks Can Survive.” At 8 p.m., the Boswell Rodeo Association UPRA rodeo begins at Hwy. 70, east of Boswell. On Saturday, princess crowning and a parade will start the day downtown. At noon, the town is hosting a free barbecue luncheon and parade awards will be announced. The afternoon events include a turtle race 1 p.m. at Boswell Skate Park, Christian rock music 3-8 p.m. at Victory Life Church and the Boswell Alumni Class Reunion 4 p.m. at Boswell School. At 7 p.m. the Boswell Rodeo continues and rodeo queen will be crowned. 9 p.m. - 12 a.m. citizens are invited to dance in the street with The Big Whiskey Band. Prize giveaways will be occuring throughout the day including a Las Vegas giveaway at 10:30 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to the weekend events.
