Choctaw/Pushmataha County Youth Services executive director, Brandy Krohn, has recently been appointed president of the Oklahoma Association of Youth Services board of directors.
This board governs each (40) Youth Services Agency, which provides high-quality services to the state’s greatest assets ––children, youth and families.
Krohn has been employed with Youth Services for five years, and covers a lot of ground with her position. “People don’t realize the impact youth services has on their community,” she said. “A support network for an adolescent makes every bit of difference. We work with a lot of different agencies, and everyone involved is willing to prove the support needed.”
Choctaw/Pushmataha County Youth Services offer counseling, Community at Risk (CARS), crisis intervention, school prevention programs, follow-up, recreation, tutoring, placement assistance, summer school programs and early intervention/ first time offender programs, as well as heading up the Angel Tree program during the Christmas holiday.
