HUGO — The minerals iron and manganese have been discoloring the water in some parts of Hugo. City Manager David Rawls said that the minerals are not harmful and do not affect drinkability. However, the minerals may affect clothes washed with bleach, leaving stains that are hard to get out. “We can treat the discoloration and should have it under control shortly,” Rawls said.
