By Amber Hanneken Staff Writer HUGO — A train that derailed a little before 5 p.m. Wednesday blocked Second Street, Third Street, Broadway and E Street until about 6:30 p.m when the cars that were not derailed were pulled to the east and west. Traffic was rerouted to Fifth Street until the train was cleared. A Street remained blocked overnight where four railcars were off the track, City Manager David Rawls said. A Street was still closed to traffic Thursday morning as railroad crews awaited a crane to move the cars. Railroad officials did not know a cause for the derailment Wednesday evening. “The investigation is going to take a couple of days,” said Matt Long, general manager of Kiamichi Railroad.
