Voters approve hospital tax
HUGO-Choctaw County voters overwhelmingly approved a non-expiring three-quarter of one cent sales to subsidize operations of Choctaw Memorial Hospital on Tuesday. The county-wide vote was:
Yes: 1,201
No: 650
The measure passed in all but three county boxes, which included Goodland, Shoat Springs and Messer.
