HUGO — Choctaw County residents attended Tuesday’s public hearing sponsored by OG&E concerning the company’s plans to construct a large high-voltage (345-kV) transmission line across Choctaw County. The company hopes to have a final location for the line determined by Dec. 1, 2009, begin construction in January of 2011, and complete the line by April 1, 2012. The line will have 90-foot tall metal H-frame support structures every 800 feet, from Fort Towson to Ardmore, costing approximately $260,000,000.
