HUGO — Youth rodeo contestants from Oklahoma and Texas will converge on Hugo this weekend as the OYRA brings one of its seasonal events to the Todd Whatley — Lige Hammock Memorial Arena. As many as 50 area contestants are expected to compete in one or more of 12 events as the Rodeo kicks off at noon Saturday. The Oklahoma Youth Rodeo Association will return to Hugo in April for another of its regional events. The event attracts many parents and family members and is considered an outstanding tourism event for Hugo and Choctaw County. On-site concessions will be available during the event.
