HUGO — Thieves chose two Choctaw County cemeteries as their targets last week where they stole numerous T-posts which were used in the cemetery fences. According to the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department, two men removed 75 orange and white T-posts from the Crosley Cemetery, valued at $450. Officers gathered some evidence at the scene. Springs Chapel Cemetery was also the target of thieves, who removed between 60 and 80 posts from the cemetery’s west and southern fences. Value of those posts were $420. Also a victim of thieves was Choctaw County District Barn No. 2, where thieves let a gooseneck trailer down, causing the rear wheels of the 2004 Ford pickup to raise up enough so that the thieves removed the two rear wheels and tires of the pickup. The tires were size: 235-75-16.
