GRANT — A motorcyclist was left dead after a fatal collision Friday afternoon on U.S. 271. A 1993 Plymouth Voyager van driven by 21-year-old Jesse Brown of Fort Towson pulled up to the stop sign to cross the highway and pulled out in front of the Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by 33-year-old Tommy Harrimon of Hugo, according to the trooper’s report. Harrimon struck the van on the driver’s side door. He was transported by Choctaw County EMS to Paris Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead from massive head injuries. The report said he had not been wearing a helmet. Brown also was transported to the hospital where he was treated for arm and leg injuries and released.
