Boswell School Board election set for February PDF Print E-mail

BOSWELL — The board resolution to call for an annual school board and run-off election (if required) for the purpose of electing a member to Office No. 5 was approved during the regular meeting of the Boswell School Board at the new start time of 6 p.m. Thursday.                        
The sign up period will be conducted Dec. 7-9 at the Choctaw County Courthouse. The election is to be held on Feb. 9, 2010 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The run-off election, to be conducted in the event that no candidate gains more than 50% of the vote, would take place on April 6, 2010.
High School Principal, Keith Edge reported on the VFW essay contest winners from both High School and Junior High. First Place from High School was Apryl Mock. First Place from Junior High was Tanner Manous.
School-wide progress reports go out Nov. 13. Also on that day, representatives from SOSU will visit the school to counsel the senior students. The Veterans Day program speaker was Chris Ribera.
