HUGO — A  diverse group of worshipers enjoyed an evening presented by the Hugo Ministerial Alliance on Tuesday.
The community Thanksgiving service was hosted this year by the First Christian Church of Hugo. The wide variety of musical performances were knit together under the direction of Kyle Commings as pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Performances were given by the Christian Life Outreach group lead by Katrina Bills with members, Alexus Jackson, Alexis Bills, Shahnika Gaffney, piano by Miriam Costilow and a special selection from The Testerman Family.
Participants from the Ministerial Alliance churches in the service were, Roger Barnes of First Christian Church, Randy Schreurs of First Presbyterian Church, Keithen Brown of First Assembly of God Church, Britt Lesley of Clayton Avenue Baptist Church and Doug McClure of Hugo First Baptist Church.
A time of fellowship following the service was well attended. There were moving stories of hope that has been provided through the work of the alliance in the community. Many expressed thanks.
