Lt. Governor’s Turkey Hunt begins Wednesday

Hugo Rotary Club President Marcus Sadau (pictured right)  recently presented a check for $350 to Harolynn Wofford, local chairman of the annual Lt. Governor’s Turkey Hunt event scheduled for April 23-25 at Hugo Lake. Wofford told Rotarians that this is the 14th year for the event to be held in this area.  Oklahoma Southeast, which represents 35 Southeast Oklahoma communities, hosts the event yearly to promote this part of the state. Lt. Governor Todd Lamb will be here on Thursday, April 24 for the community dinner.

• Oklahoma Southeast hosts site locators at annual turkey hunt

HUGO –– Oklahoma Southeast will host the Lt. Governor’s Annual Turkey Hunt at Hugo Lake on April 23-25. The event, which is now in its 14th year, has been recognized as one of the premier economic development recruiting events in the state.
According to Oklahoma Southeast member Harolynn Wofford, “Everything is organized and ready to go for the turkey hunt. We are very excited to host it and have been working on the planning and organization for several months. There has been an overwhelming local support for this event, with lots of donations and volunteers.”
