HUNTER FORBUS, of Boswell, shot his first deer during the youth hunt for 2009. The buck weighed 150 pounds, had 7 points and a spread of 15.5. Forbus is in the fourth grade at Boswell Elementary.

ERIC LANGLEY’S buck was an 8-point shot on Saturday Nov. 28 just before dark. It was shot with a .243 with his 9-year-old daughter Emily sitting in the tree stand. It weighed 158 pounds before being field dressed.

JAMES HAMILL shot this 140-pound, 10-point buck with a bow and arrow at Hugo Lake. Hamill is a police officer in Terrell, Texas. He is also the grandson of the late Marion and Ethel Hamill of Grant.
