School board approves prelim. budget

Monday’s meeting was the last for current superintendent Karen Lyles, who will be retiring at the end of this month. “I would like to thank you all for the opportunity I’ve been given to be superintendent of Hugo Schools,” she said. “It has been an honor and a pleasure. I will always remember my 25 years with Hugo Public Schools.”

HUGO –– Members of the Hugo board of education met Monday evening for a preliminary hearing on the proposed preliminary budget for 2014-15 fiscal year.
With nobody present to contest it, the budget was approved upon a motion by Dr. Mike Irvin.
