The school year for Hugo Public Schools is rapidly coming to a close. Activities are numerous and students are still in the process of taking mandated state tests. Semester tests are on the horizon, too. These three remaining weeks will help determine your student’s final grades.
Hopefully, all of our seniors have completed their FASFA, made applications for scholarships, college, technology schools, the military or are in the process of planning for the workforce. If your senior needs help with an application, please contact the high school counselor.
This week will mark a major milestone for Hugo Schools. Bids for the new Hugo High School were opened on Wednesday, April 30, in the administration office. The construction will soon begin. Renovation on the Vocational Building is set to begin after the last day of school, May 16, and is to be completed and ready for students the first day of school in August.
Coming events include the following:
May 5, Hugo Middle School PTO/Parent Night 5:30 p.m.
May 10, National Honor Society Initiation, 12:00 p.m., HHS Cafeteria.
May 10, FFA Banquet,   Agriplex, 5 p.m.
May 11, Baccalaureate, Assembly of God Church, 6 p.m.
May 12, Sports Banquet, Kiamichi Technology Center, 6 p.m.
