Letha Loftin (right), of Hugo, was this week’s winner of the Hugo News Football Contest after choosing 14 out of 19 games correctly. Loftin guessed closest (311) to the Hugo Buffaloes’ total offense figure (390) to edge out Lindy Loftin. Sunshine and heat sum up the forecast through Labor Day for Choctaw County. High temperatures will be in the 90s and I am talking 95 to 99 degrees on many afternoons and heat index well over 100.
