Head out to the wild horse and burro event in Durant
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold a wild horse and burro adoption event in Durant, Okla., Oct. 22-23, at the Bryan County Fairgrounds. The two-day event, featuring 120 wild horses and burros, will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22.
OCA to host fall gatherings
The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) has planned the 2021 OCA Fall Gatherings. There are 12 locations scattered around the state with the idea that everyone should have a Fall Gathering within a comfortable drive distance.
Man suspected in February ambulance theft arrested Monday
BOSWELL –– Monday morning, the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police apprehended the suspect wanted for stealing an ambulance from the Choctaw County Ambulance Authority last February, that resulted in the death of Delbert Hedrick.

HUGO — Last week Hugo residents Margaret Chafin and her son John brought a bit of distinction to the Choctaw Memorial Hospital family and to their own family as well, as they returned to the hospital where John was born in 1951… this time sharing a room together as COVID-19 virus patients.
