Hugo PRCA Rodeo celebrates 60 years This weekend, thousands of people will flock to Hugo for the 60th annual Hugo PRCA Rodeo. The festivities kick off Wednesday at 6 with the overflow events.

The PRCA Rodeo Committee announces that the 60th annual Hugo Rodeo Parade will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 3. All area businesses, churches, homecoming classes, clubs and youth groups and individuals are urged to make plans to enter the parade to compete for cash prize money.

For any Voter who has not yet registered, Friday, June 3, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the June 28 Choctaw County Primary Election.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Several members of the Hugo Gymnastics team competed in the AAU Oklahoma State meet in Oklahoma City on May 1. All of the participants were winners in respective events and will advance to regional competition in Springfield, Ill., on June 30-July 3.

Both Oklahoma State Cowgirls and Oklahoma Sooner softball teams have earned trips to the National Women’s Softball World Serires. OSU softball closed out Clemson in the Stillwater Super Regional.

The Oklahoma Beef Council and Oklahoma FFA have worked together for the past 10 years to teach the Masters of Beef Advocacy program in classrooms across the state. This partnership has resulted in 6,000 Oklahoma students learning about the beef industry from pasture to plate.
