McALESTER –– The Choctaw Nation Health Clinic in McAlester will be remodeled and expanding in size and services. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall and is estimated to be completed in 2024. The expansion will more than double the size of the clinic’s square footage and provide services not currently offered.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Wade were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 at Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home with Willam “Buck” Wade officiating. Burial followed at Sawyer Cemetery, Sawyer, Okla. Elizabeth went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022 in Paris, Texas, at the age of 57.

Charles “Charlie” Franklin Berryhill Charles “Charlie” Franklin Berryhill passed peacefully from this life on June 30, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Services have been entrusted to the care of Baggerley Funeral Home.

Irene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Burtch Kellogg; a son whom she lost at childbirth, Brent Kellogg; her parents, Casimer and Pauline Ryczek; her brothers: William (Bill) and Ernest Ryczek; and sister, Margaret Soper. Irene leaves to cherish her memorv, her daughters: Paula Burner, Carol Rawls Mendez; grandchildren: Tamera Johnson, Peter Johnson, Sasha Fry and Kelly Rawls; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Ethan, Morgan, Avery, Wesley, Fallon and Savannah; other familv members: Bill and Jim Ryczek, Debbie Erstad, Debbie Greenfield, Rhonda Hall, Bryan Hall, Louise Soper and numerous extended family.

Leaders and innovators across Native American tribes were recognized at the 19th Annual Oklahoma City Area Director’s Indian Health Services awards ceremony in Oklahoma City. Several recipients are associates of the Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority (CNHSA).

Rams 2 Tupelo Tigers 3 TUPELO — Despite out-hitting the Tupelo Tigers 6-3, the Rattan RAMS’ five-game winning streak was shortcircuited last week with a tough 3-2 loss in Tupelo. Although starting pitcher Ben Ellis gave up only two hits in 7.2 innings on the bump for the RAMS, an eighthinning single with runners at first and third gave the Tigers a walk-off victory.

Harriett E. (Killcrease) Berryhill, 84, formerly of Edmond passed peacefully from this life on Aug.

Funeral services for Catherine Louise Fuller will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, at the Archey Baptist Church in Soper, Okla., with Tim Harless and Kelly Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper. Catherine passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, in Paris, Texas, at the age of 85.
