Funeral services for Geneva June (Hider) Fuller, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. March 21, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Geneva June (Hider) Fuller was born on July 8, 1941 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of Bee Hider and Velma (Waits) Hider and was a lifelong resident of the Hugo area. She went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2023 in Calera, Okla., at the age of 81 years.

Two Hugo Lady Buffalo weightlifters carved their names into the school’s record books last week, when they became the first two female athletes to earn invitations to the State Weightlifting Meet. According to Coach Krystopher Gross, Isabel Bigfeather placed fifth at State in the Heavyweight Junior High Division.

Hugo News Sports OKLAHOMA CITY — The Hugo Buffaloes’ season came to an end on Thursday afternoon in the first round of the State Tournament after a tough battle against No. 1 Metro Christian.

The Rattan Rams have their spring baseball season off to a fast start with recent victories over Colbert and Hugo. The Rams dumped the Colbert Leopards 5-2 last week, behind the strong arm of Ben Ellis, who went four innings and fanned five batters while giving up only two hits.
