Types are the shadows in the Old Testament of things that were to come (antitypes) in the New Testament. An example of this type/antitype relationship can be found in the ark of Noah as a type of the antitype... the church of Christ.

Michael Eugene Bates was born on Oct. 7, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Okla., to O.D. Clayton Bates and Catherine Elizabeth (Jobe) Bates. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clayton Bates; sister, Barbara Alvarez; a nephew, Charles Bates and a great-niece.
