A Bokchito police officer suffered minor injuries after his patrol unit flipped during a high-speed pursuit of a stolen pickup. According to the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office, the chase began when the officer pursued the stolen vehicle into Hugo, where other law enforcement agencies joined in.

Contributing Writer SOPER –– The Soper Town Council has spent recent meetings reviewing, rewriting and preparing to enforce town ordinances. Mayor Carey Lester explained that many of the ordinances already existed but had not been enforced.
