A ribbon cutting was held Friday afternoon in Hugo, where the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma opened five Independent Elder Homes and 23 Affordable Rental Homes, with an additional 20 LEAP homes approved for construction in District 8. District 8 now has a total of 108 completed homes. Across the reservation, that brings the Nation to 1,720 completed homes, with another 344 approved for construction.
